Our approach is very simple, we work closely with each client to establish
their exact needs, then we devise a cost -effective way to deliver the solutions

Over recent years both Company and Private Car legislation and taxation have
changed immensely, we are there to help our clients make tactical policy changes
in a structured way to enable them to control and manage costs effectively and
ensure that both our clients and their drivers chose the correct car and funding
method.
Ericsson have used the services of Complete Driving Solutions for the last 5

During this period CDS have reduced the actual cost of running each car whilst
maintaining driver satisfaction. CDS have also devised and implemented Car Choice

What We Do
Whilst we can broker funding solutions we are not a lease company ourselves,
therefore we look for the best option for our clients bearing in mind their
individual needs. We provide a totally bespoke service for each client.
We develop and implement Vehicle Policies, sometime geared towards recruitment and retention of staff, at others designed to reduce operating costs.
We provide advice on Company Car Taxation, Fuel Benefit etc.
For some clients we operate as the “in-house” fleet department managing the total fleet from Driver Helpdesk through to P11D and P46 reporting.
We develop and operate “Cash for Car” and Personal Lease Schemes which give drivers full insurance protection against Redundancy and Sickness.
We keep all clients fully informed on changes in Government Legislation and advise them of the actions they need to take to protect themselves. We advise on issues such as the position of an employer when employees opt for Cash Allowances, does the employers responsibility end?
We supply one off cars for members of the public, as either Cash Purchases or Personal Lease.
Since we began trading over five years ago we have witnessed many changes in the Corporate Car world. We have adapted our services to suit the needs of our clients and market conditions. We have successfully managed the both large and small fleets through intensive, exciting periods of growth and equally challanging periods of downsizing.
We have found the solutions for our clients, amongst them:
Ericsson Telecommunications Limited
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Limited
Damovo UK Limited
Solshade Solutions Limited
A.B. Hoses Limited
Kti Limited
When I arrived in the UK with my family there were so many things to organize. Besides our housing arrangement a prime importance to our family was to find cars for both my wife and myself as fast and easy as possible.
I was advised to contact Complete Driving Solutions who manage the UK Company Cars for Ericsson. They provided a range of car options and good financial ideas. Our ultimate decision on vehicle choice rested heavily on delivery time as well as the total financial solution. CDS updated me quickly and regularly of the developments in a very professional manner. Having made our choices, I can say that I enjoyed the relationship under this process and hope others will be introduced to Complete Driving Solutions as well, as they sorted out my car needs very smoothly and to our satisfaction.

Personal Lease
Over recent years "Cash for Car" schemes have become increasingly
popular with both Companies and Employees. Whilst there can be benefits for
both by opting for a Personal Lease, care does need to be taken to ensure that
all aspects are covered.
Are you offered a fixed Monthly Cash Allowance?
If so do you know what you can get for your money?
What are the Tax Implications / Pitfalls?
Can you insure against Illness or Redundancy?
Is it really true that a Mercedes can be cheaper than a Ford?
Is the Sports car of your dreams really affordable?
Talk to us, we will peel away the layers of confusion and help you find the
best deal for you.
When estimating what they can afford many drivers forget to include the money that can be re-claimed via Tax Returns for business mileage under the Government Approved Mileage Rate scheme. i.e.
For the first 10,000 Business Miles 40 pence per mile can be claimed to off-set the expenses and depreciation on the car. All miles over 10,000 can be claimed at 25 pence per mile. Please check the Inland Revenue Website for further details, http://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk./ Any mileage allowance made by an employer has to be deducted from these mileage rates.
The extra funds generated by the Mileage Allowances dramatically affect what
can be afforded.

Taxation Issues
Do you fully understand how cars are taxed?
Why are Diesel Cars more cost effective than Petrol ones?
How is the Taxable Value of a car calculated?
Is the Free Private Fuel Benefit still a benefit?
We could add many more questions to this list and we could provide answers to
them all, however, that would only answer the questions that you know to ask,
what about the other issues that you have maybe not even considered? Contact
us, explain your situation and let us give you a solution that covers all the
issues.
Choosing the cars was the easy part, then I talked to Complete Driving Solutions,
they explained the Taxation issues in layman's terms and demonstrated the savings
that could be achieved. The final funding decision was easy.

How to Calculate Company Car Tax
This information should be used for guidance only, exact taxation costs will
vary slightly.
Detailed below is a simple way to estimate the Company Car Tax on individual
cars. This method should only be used as an estimate, please be aware that the
Inland Revenue calculates the exact figure.
Establish the P11D price of the car,i.e. List Price including any extras and
delivery costs.
Establish the CO2 rating of the car.
Using the table below work out the Tax Band for the car, it is safest to round
up rather than down. Remember to add the 3% Diesel surcharge unless the car
has a Euro IV compliant engine.
Multiple the List Price by the percentage Tax Band, then by your Personal Taxation
rate. This will give you the annual Tax figure.
Example - BMW 318iSE Auto Petrol .Example - Vauxhall Vectra 2.2LS Petrol
List Price £18,500
CO2 194
Car Taxation Level 23%
Personal Tax Rate 40%
List Price £13,000
CO2 206
Car Taxation Level 26%
Personal Tax Rate 22%
£18,500 x 23% x 40% = £1702.00
Indicative Monthly Tax £141.83
£18,500 x 23% x 40% = £743.60
Indicative Monthly Tax £61.97

Fleet Management
Many Companies find that as they grow the task of looking after Company Cars
becomes increasingly problematic. There are so many issues to consider...
What type of vehicle should you provide?
How does the Co2 of a car affect personal taxation?
What are the responsibilities for the Company if an individual uses his/her
own car on business?
What is the best method of funding?
How does the Company develop its own Policy?
How will the forthcoming Corporate Manslaughter legislation affect our Company?
What H.R. and Health & Safety Issues should be considered?
The list is endless. Complete Driving Solutions will analyse where you are now,
propose possible changes and provide an out-sourced Fleet Department focused
on your Company needs.

Funding Options
Contract Hire
Allows VAT registered companies the chance to adopt a minimum outlay with maximum
control of costs especially when options such as maintenance and relief vehicle
are included. Over an agreed period of time and mileage, the rental payments
cover all the risks including costs, depreciation and disposal. Road fund license
is included here, however, maintenance, relief vehicle provision and road side
assistance can be added to this VAT beneficial package.
Finance Lease
This is a favorable option if the VAT registered company is looking to handle
the admin of the vehicles, and have the assets shown on their balance sheet.
With this option the hirer has the choice of paying the cost in its entirety
over the agreed lease period (plus interest payments) or pay lower monthly rentals
during the set period with a balloon payment at the end based on the residual/resale
value of the item.
Contract Purchase
Aimed at companies with higher value cars who do not want to incur depreciation
risks. The vehicle is obtained paying the monthly rental in the normal way with
the asset being shown on the company balance sheet. The customer can retain
ownership at the end of the contract or hand the vehicle back. This method comes
with road fund license and the roadside assistance as an option and benefits
from maintenance and relief vehicle savings.
Lease Purchase
This option is aimed at the non - VAT registered companies or private individuals
who would like eventual ownership of the vehicle. The customer, having made
all of the payments including the option to purchase, acquires ownership. (A
‘balloon payment, reflecting the anticipated value of the car at the end
of the lease, maybe incorporated as part of the initial capital cost.)
Personal Leasing
An option where private individuals can finance and maintain a vehicle in a
cost effective manner. After the payment plan (via a fixed monthly charge) has
been agreed during consultation, the customer can benefit from significant tax
advantages, with a choice of a new vehicle every 2-3 years. With the addition
of the optional maintenance and breakdown package, a Personal lease is the ideal
solution for business and personal needs.
Special Offers
The above figures are based on 36 month, non-maintenance contracts with an annual
mileage of 10k. Deposit payable of 3 months rental followed by 35 standard rentals.
Business Contract figures are plus VAT at the prevailing rate.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need further details. We will be happy to assist in any way that we can.
